Review: Disney’s live Snow White is an empty shell of the original

Perhaps fans of the Disney Hardcore movie will find something to be appreciated in this live-action remake of Snow WhiteBut I thought it was an absolute mess. Like someone who grew up loving the original Snow White and the Seven DwarfsI couldn’t help but be curious to see how they would give him to live action.

That original film by Walt Disney was dark, disturbing and, sometimes, decidedly terrifying. It was a visually surprising fairy tale that blocked me. This remake, however, eliminates everything that has made the classic so memorable, leaving behind something sure, underwater and finally forgetable.

There were times when I thought, ok, maybe this has the opportunity to return to the track. A scene would echo the spirit of the 1937 film and I would think that perhaps this can work. But then, like a clock, the creative team would make another stupid creative decision that torn me out of the experience.

The biggest offensor? The ending. The original had this incredible, intense and terrifying climax after the queen hit the snow in the bite in the apple, falls in a sleep similar to death.

The dwarves return while the queen leaves the cottage and hunt, trapping it on a cliff in the middle of a storm of lighting and rain. He warned that he rolled a boulder on them, but lightning strikes the cliff before he can do it, making her fall to his death with a screaming scream.

It was obsessed. It was powerful. It was iconic. He has burned in my memory! This film starts the entire sequence! Instead, we get something completely not inspired, a sterilized version of an ending that lacks weight or emotional impact.

I won’t ruin it, but it’s boring. Did they think that children could not manage an intense ending like the original today? This is what made it so memorable! This is what made him fantastic! If you remove the danger, the stakes and the disturbing atmosphere, what remains?

And don’t even get me started on the CGI dwarfs. I have no idea why they thought it was the way to go, but every time they were on the screen, I couldn’t help but think, why? That was another huge cerebral discourage made by the creative team. I’m not sure why they went in that direction, but every time they were on the screen it was distracted.

As for the performances, Rachel Zegler he made a fine like Snow White with the material with which he had to work and Gal GadotHe brought some left energy to Queen Malvagia. But outside of this? All the others were just a little insipid and not very interesting.

Also I didn’t care about many of the new songs written for the film. In addition to the classic songs of the original, no new music has really distinguished themselves as something special or iconic. No song that I can see children who go around singing all the time.

When it’s over, I didn’t hear anything. Disney had the opportunity to do something exciting, something bold, something that honored the magic of the original. Instead, they gave us this empty life shell of the original film.

Some disney crawl fans may have fun, but I will never look at him again. If you are trying to watch an excellent movie in snow, opt to watch the original.
