For the first time in over two decades, Marvel and DC are joining forces again. After years of speculation and a long history of competition transformed in collaboration, the two giant comics will publish a couple of new courses of a shot crossover by the end of the year.
The news came to the recent Comicspro event in California, where the editor -in -chief of Marvel Comics CB Cebulski and chief editor of DC Comics Marie Javins He shared the news.
The conversation began with a nod to last year’s bestseller DC against Marvel Omnibus AND DC/Marvel: the Omnibus Amalgam Agewhich collected beyond the Marvel/DC crossover in one place. But apparently, those books were not just a journey of nostalgia, they were a prelude.
Reflecting on the experience of putting together those omnibus, Cebulski mentioned something more: “We really liked working together. This was really a good project to do, but I think there is another white whale that we got,” he said.
Javins replied, saying: “I’m trying to understand what you could talk about.”
And then the moment came that gave the hum to the world of comics. Cebulski put the question outdoors: “Another crossover, a modern crossover, are you there?” The answer was a sensational yes.
While the details are still in compresses and there are no official creative teams or no confirmed character, we know that two numbers are coming. One entitled Marvel/DCwhich will be published by Marvel and the other entitled DC/Marvelwhich will be published by, of course, DC.
Both comics should go down in 2025.
