Daredevil: Nasto again leaves a miles for miles, but what does it mean?

Marvel fans always keep their eyes open for Easter eggs in the films and TV programs that are released and Daredevil: born again I just delivered one who could suggest the existence of Miles Morales in the MCU.

While it is far from a confirmation that we will see the beloved Spider-Man that oscillates through Hell’s Kitchen at any time soon, it is enough to make the fans speak and speculate.

In episode 3, “The Hollow of his hand”, Charlie CoxMatt Murdock enters the courtroom to defend Kamar de Los Reyes Hector Ayala, aka White Tiger.

During his defense, Murdock lists the people that Ayala saved as Tigre White and among the nominated listed? “Morales official.” This is a name that should play a bell, especially for those who are familiar with the story of Miles.

Jefferson Morales, Miles’ father, was traditionally interpreted as a shield agent in Marvel’s comics. However, in Spider-Man: in the spider-Versetto And Insomniac’s Spider-Man video games is depicted as a police officer.

This reference in Daredevil: born again It could be a nod to that version of the character, placing it in the same universe as Matt Murdock.

Of course, this could only be a coincidence, but when it comes to MCU, nothing is usually accidental. Initially he went to “Davis” in the comics, but later he adopted the surname of his wife, Morales, as established in Miles Morales: Spider-Man #22 in 2021.

This is also the name Miles himself uses for his father in Spider-Man: through the spider-Versettowhere he calls him “Morales officer”.

Of course, any direct aspect of Miles Morales in the MCU would still require Sony’s blessing. AS Brad WinderbaumHead of TV, streaming and animation of Marvel Studios, confirmed last month, Sony maintains long-term TV rights for Spider-Man.

This means that neither Miles nor Peter Parker’s spider man can simply oscillate Daredevil: born again Sony without signing.

So is it a sign that the MCU is laying the bases for miles? Perhaps. At least, he recognizes that the Morales family exists in this world. It remains to be seen if this leads at the end to a live debut.
