The mill of the voices has again agitated Kathleen KennedyThe potential exit from Lucasfilm, but a new relationship suggests that talking about his retirement could be premature.
Puck News recently reported that Kennedy, who has led Lucasfilm since 2012, was preparing to resign by the end of the year. According to Belloni, he initially intended to leave in 2024.
A nameless source said to Belloni: “Kathy [Kathleen] In reality he was planning to leave last year, he told me, and he had even set up an output interview with a journalist, but decided to stay for another year. “

For now, Lucasfilm and Disney are silent. Both refused to comment on the situation when approached the CNN.
Kennedy supervised Lucasfilm during one of the richest eras Star Wars franchising, delivering a new film every year between 2015 and 2019, included The force awakens, Rogue One, The last Jedi, AloneAND Skywalker’s ascent. While the theatrical versions have slowed down, he also helped to guide the expansion of the brand in streaming, bringing public shows such as as how The Mandalorian, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Ahsoka, AndorAND Boba Fett’s book.
The next Star Wars movie, The Mandalorian and the GoguHe is destined to arrive in 2026, but he remains to see if Kennedy will still be guided Lucasfilm.
