A few years ago, fans were thrilled to see the success series Community land on Netflix. It was during the pandemic, and many were looking for a good series to be bingeing for the first time, or Rewatch after being a fan for the first time he aired. But when they dug, many spectators realized that a favorite episode was missing by fans.
Episode 14 of season 2 is entitled “Advanced Dungeons & Dragons” and its synopsis reads: “The study group plays Dungeons & Dragons With another classmate to improve his spirits, but Pierce’s jealousies make their good intentions come true against. ”
The episode, directed by Marvel Joe RussoIt concerns bullying and encloses the heart a lot, but was focused when the character of Ken Jeong Chang appears on the D&D table completely covered with dark black paint, including his face.
He launches everything in interpreting this character, who says is a “dark elf”, but at a glance, it might seem to some who is in black face, which is super offensive.
His costume was even called in a joke in the episode, when Yvette Nicole Brown’s Shirley asks everyone in the room if they are about to “ignore hatred crime” which is the painted face of Chang.
But it is not really the center of the episode, and its removal has just taken away the anti-bullying message that the story was focused primarily.
Now, the episodes have been restored and can be seen with the rest of the series on Peacock. The streamer is where the entire six -seasons library is now hosted and where the Community The film will be available when it is previewed.
If you have not seen the episode or more than a decade has passed, go take a look and stay tuned for updates on the Spin -off movie that has been directed.
