Max announced that he had renewed the Noah Wyle medical drama The Pitt For a second season. I liked this show so far and I’m happy to see that we will have another season.
The show follows the 15 -hour round of Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch (Wyle) as the main assistant in the emergency room of the Pittsburgh trauma medical hospital. Each episode represents an hour in Robby’s crazy day.
The series was created by R. Scott GemmillAnd the maximum original programming head Sarah Aubrey said in a note:
“It was a shiver to see the public embrace Pitt as an update to the procedural narrative with a cast that authentically embodies the heroism of doctors and nurses in return in a 2025 emergency room.
“Our collaboration with John Wells, R. Scott Gemmill, Noah Wyle and Warner Bros. Television was an incredibly rewarding experience and we are excited to continue on this path with another season.”
The president of the WBTV Channing Dungey added: “From its powerful stories to its realistic set and to the single format in real time, the Pitt is truly a masterclass in the narrative-and is all due to the talented team of executive producers and troupes and the Incredible cast of ensemble that truly embody the rhythm and pressure of a hospital emergency room.
“John, Noah, Scott and the team have so many other stories to tell, and we are grateful to our Max partners for giving them the opportunity to do it.”
The cast also includes Tracey Ifaachor (Dr. Collins), Patrick Ball (Dr. Langdon), Katherine Lanasa (Dana Evans), Supriya Ganesh (Dr. Mohan), Fiona Dourif (Dr. McKay), Taylor Dearden (Dr. King), Isa Briones (Dr. Santos), Gerran Howell (Whitaker) e Shabana Azeez (Javadi).
The season finale of the first season of 15 episodes is set for April 10.
