Marvel Comics has announced a new one Star Wars series of comics that will bring fans to a unexplored territory with a brand new series of flagship comics set after the events of Return of the Jedi.
After years of captivating readers with stories focused on the original trilogy, this new series promises to immerse yourself in the period following the fall of the empire, which is a chapter of the franchise that fans have been interested in seeing explored.
The comic is written by Alex Segura and will include the art of Phil Noto, Segura, enthusiastic about this new direction, shared:
“Now that we have put the period at the end of the Galactic Civil War with the battle of Jakku, we can accelerate in a new unexplored era, with some new galactic threats, enemies and mysteries for our beloved heroes to face with, merge the familiarity with the new and the shocking. “
Here is the official synopsis: “An epic new adventure begins for Luke, Leia and Han in the wake of the return of the Jedi! Luke Skywalker must defend the new Republic from a thirsty band of mercenaries!
“Han only investigates a mortal mystery of the underworld and saves a surprising ally! And Leia Organa has to face a new alliance contrary to the objectives of the New Republic! “
While the new Republic triumphed in the battle of Jakku, its challenges are far from finite. This era, full of distrust, conspiracy and new threats, acts as a perfect background for the fresh adventures with the most iconic characters of the franchise.
Whether it is Luke in front of his first struggles to restore the Jedi order, both Leia and Han to navigate in a galaxy in the political and romantic flow, the potential for the narrative here is enormous.
Segura has made fun of the series will affect a balance between the accessibility for newcomers and long -standing fans:
“These stories will be full of action and the character of the moments of Star Wars expect, with twists and turns on the galaxy and the landscape we know, with an eye to make sure people can jump easily and with any problem. We cannot wait. “
Marvel also published the main cover of Phil known for Star Wars #1, together with a surprising variant coverage of Leinil Francis Yu.
I am excited to see which stories will tell this new series of comics!
