Kumail Nanjiani (The eternals) has reportedly joined the cast of Fall Season 2 in an undisclosed role. The news comes from Insider, but has not yet been confirmed.
While there are no details on Nanjiani’s role in Fallout, I think it’s safe to say that he will be playing an entirely new character introduced to the franchise.
Nanjiani is the second new cast member to be launched in the new season along with Macauley Culkin. Culkin’s role has not yet been specified, but he is reportedly playing a “crazy genius-type character.”
Fallout is the story of the haves and have-nots in a world where there is almost nothing to be had. 200 years after the Apocalypse, the delicate inhabitants of luxury fallout shelters are forced to return to the irradiated Hellscape that the their ancestors left behind – and are shocked to discover an incredibly complex, gleefully strange and highly violent universe awaiting them.”
The world of Fall it is “one in which the future imagined by Americans in the late 1940s explodes upon itself through nuclear war in 2077.
“In Fallthe harshness of the wasteland is set against the previous generation’s utopian idea of a better world through nuclear energy. It’s serious in tone, but sprinkled with moments of wry humor and B-Movie-nuclear fantasy. “
The cast also includes Ella Purnell Like Lucy, Aaron Moten is maximum, and Walton Goggins like the ghoul, as well as Kyle MacLachlan, MOISés Arias, Sarita Choudhury, Michael Emerson, Leslie Uggams, Frances Turner, Register Dave, Zach Cherry, Johnny Pemberton, Rodrigo Luzzi, Annabel O’Hagan AND Xelia Mendes-Jones.
The series comes from Westworld creators Jonathan Nolan AND Lisa Joy.
