Prime Video has released the trailer for the comedy documentary titled This is Tom Green’s documentary. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen anything with Green Tom in it.
He was hugely popular in the 1990s and this autobiographical documentary film explores the comedian’s career. The title is a reference to his old comedy/prank show which opened with a song called “This is The Tom Green Show”, which aired from 1994 to 2000.
The film follows Tom Green’s career as “a pioneering influence on comedy, film, television and Internet culture, featuring thousands of hours of digitized personal footage, rare episodes and previously unreleased raw footage from past series and films.
“The documentary captures the early days of his humble beginnings in Canada, to stardom in Hollywood, as he comes full circle and returns to his roots by moving from his home in Los Angeles to a rural farm in the countryside.
“Tom reveals the highs and lows of his journey, including his creative process, his controversial antics and a unique brand of humor that has had a lasting impact on a generation of comedians.”
Green directed the film, and also directed it Freddy was fingered, Subway Monkey Timeand an unpublished paper called Joker.
This is Tom Green’s documentary will be streamed on Prime Video starting January 24, 2025.
