Creepy and funny trailer for the horror film adaptation of UNTIL DAWN

Sony Pictures has released a full trailer for its film adaptation of the hit video game Until dawnand it looks like this is going to be a creepy and fun horror movie!

The film comes from the director of Lights Out and Annabelle: Creation David F. Sandbergand it’s great to see him dive back into the horror genre after making Shazam! movie. You can tell he had fun playing in the Until Dawn sandbox.

The movie has the same tone and feel as the game, but expands the universe with a new story full of new characters. Also, in the film, after a character is killed, they return to try to survive once again and must continue to survive until dawn.

It was previously explained that every time a character comes back to life, it’s like they enter a whole new horror genre.

In the story, “A year after her sister Melanie’s mysterious disappearance, Clover and her friends head to the remote valley where she disappeared in search of answers.

“Exploring an abandoned visitor center, they find themselves stalked by a masked killer and gruesomely murdered one after another… only to wake up to find each other early the same evening.

“Trapped in the valley, they are forced to relive the nightmare again and again, only each time the murderous threat is different, each more terrifying than the last.

“Hope diminishes, the group soon realizes that they still have a limited body count left and that the only way to escape is to survive until dawn.”

Sandberg is excited to return to his horror roots and previously said: “I’ve been longing to do horror again. This film explores the many great subgenres of horror to create the most terrifying experience possible.

“Capturing the essence of the game but with new characters, it makes for a fantastic introduction to the world for the newcomer, as well as offering something new that fans of the game will enjoy.”

The film’s cast includes Ella Rubin (The idea of ​​you), Michele Cimino (I’ve never done it), Ji-young Yoo (expatriates), Odessa A’zion (Hellraiser), Pietro Stormare, Maia Mitchell AND Belmont Camelli.

The film was written by Blair Butler (The invitation) with contributions from Gary Daubermann (Salem’s Lot).

Described as “an R-rated love letter to the horror genre,” the film promises to deliver a chilling experience for newcomers and fans of the game alike.
