The one from Lucasfilm The Mandalorian and Grogu is shaping up to be a major event for the franchise, bringing the fantastic Disney+ series to the big screen for the first time.
Originally planned as the fourth season of The MandalorianDisney decided to make it a theatrical release, marking the first Star Wars film since 2019 The Rise of Skywalker.
The film wowed fans, especially with the addition of Sigourney Weaver in a mysterious role and Jeremy Allen White taking on the role of Rotta the Hutt.
But now, insider Kristian Harloff has revealed some new information about the film’s main villain… Embo, who is a fan-favorite bounty hunter from The Clone Wars.
Embo is a Kyuzo bounty hunter known for his crossbow and iconic circular hat (which doubles as a weapon and shield), he will reportedly play a central role in the film.
According to Harloff, Embo is tasked with hunting down Rotta the Hutt, who has been kidnapped. Meanwhile, Din Djarin and Grogu are hired to save Rotta, which sets the stage for a thrilling showdown.
Dave Filoni He will also return to voice the character Embo. As you know, Filoni was a driving force The Clone Wars AND The Mandalorianand it’s nice to know that he’ll be voicing the character again.
Embo is known for his unmatched skill and mysterious presence. He worked for the Hutt clans, fought Maul’s Shadow Collective, and fought alongside legendary bounty hunters like Bossk and Boba Fett.
After the Battle of Jakku, Embo retreated to a quieter life as a farmer on Felucia, but it seems that the bounty on Rotta is enough to bring him back into action.
Jon Favreauwho co-wrote the screenplay with Filoni and is directing the film, shared his enthusiasm for the project when the film was announced, saying:
“I loved telling stories set in the rich world George Lucas created. The prospect of bringing the Mandalorian and his apprentice Grogu to the big screen is extremely exciting.”
With Favreau and Filoni at the helm, The Mandalorian and Grogu promises to bring to the big screen the Star Wars cinematic adventure fans have been waiting for.
