While speaking with Collider at CCXP, Ian McShane offered some new vision of the next John Wick spin-off films Dancer and explains that Winsto already knows Ana de Armasat the beginning of the film, describing her as “Baby Yaga”.
He said: “I know some secrets about her that I will try to find out later. Of course, I’ve kept an eye on her over the years since she’s been under the tutelage of the character’s ballet Angelica Huston. But Winston, you still don’t know who he is, which is kind of nice. He is the most enigmatic character.
He adds: “At the end of the film – I’m not saying anything – we don’t know even more about the relationship. All I can say is that I admire her.
“I mean, a dancer and an assassin? It’s a lethal combination. He tries to warn her, but of course she completely ignores him. But it will be interesting. She is the Baby Yaga; John Wick is Baba Yaga.”
The film is set between John Wick 3 AND John Wick 4and the story focuses on a young assassin who seeks revenge against the people who killed her family.
The film was directed by Underworld AND Total recall director Len Wiseman even stars Angelica Huston, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Gabriel Byrneand the delay Lance Reddick also star with Keanu Reeves.
Dancer will be released on June 6, 2025.
