A few days ago it was revealed that after the actor’s loss in 2023 Ray Stevensonwho played Baylan Skoll Star Wars: Ahsokathe role was recast with game of Thrones star Rory McCann.
As the wheels turn on the show’s second season, an insider has provided us with some new news rumors to look forward to as the story expands.
According to Kristian Harloff (via CBM), Hayden Christensen it is expected to have a “pretty big role”. Ahsoka season 2. The insider also reveals this Ariana Greenblatt she will return as the young Ahsoka but the biggest news is this: Ewan McGregor will reprise his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi!
While the Force Ghost’s appearance is possible, Greenblatt’s presence suggests we’ll get even more flashbacks to the events of The Clone Wars.
Remember, Obi-Wan, Anakin, and Ahsoka met the Mortis gods in that animated series, so showrunner Dave Filoni recreating it here makes perfect sense.
After all, many fans are tuning in Ahsoka you won’t necessarily be familiar with the animated adventures in which they took place The Clone Wars AND Star Wars Rebels; with the events of those shows so key to this story, Filoni must find a way to ensure his deep dive into the franchise’s lore makes sense to everyone.
Speaking to Star Wars: The Skeleton Crew premiering at Disneyland last month, Filoni shared an exciting update on how construction is progressing Ahsoka season 2.
“I’m very comfortable with that, too. I’m writing it, and I’m still the only writer on it, and so I’ve had fun doing it, but it’s a challenge, obviously, and doing a little bit of retracing these story arcs has been a challenge and making sure that everything came out in a way that I think is exciting for the fans.
“I know they’re interested in where I developed some of the things in the first season. I’m quite satisfied with it. I love working with Rosario [Dawson]so I can’t wait to get back to it.”
Star Wars Celebration will take place in Japan this April, and we expect new details on both Ahsoka season 2 and The Mandalorian and Grogu to share during the event.
