THE Matrix the franchise is gearing up for a big revival and may have an unexpected new face in the lead role. According to a report by scooper @MyTimeToShineH, Arianna Grande he was considered for a leading role in the film.
Drew Goddard (The cabin in the woods) will write and direct the film, and while there are no plot details, these casting rumors are sure to raise some eyebrows and debate among fans.
Warner Bros. Discovery announced this news Matrix movie last year and if it’s unclear whether this project will be a reboot, a spinoff, or a direct continuation of the original storyline.
Goddard previously shared his excitement for the film, saying, “That’s not an exaggeration to say The Matrix films have changed both cinema and my life.
“Lana and Lilly’s exquisite artistry inspires me daily, and I am beyond grateful for the chance to tell stories in their world.”
Since its groundbreaking debut in 1999, The Matrix was a cornerstone of science fiction cinema. However, follow up as The reloaded matrix AND The Matrix revolutions struggled to match the success of the original. The sequel of 2021, The Resurrections of the Matrixdirected by Lana Wachowskiit also left the fans divided.
If this rumor is true, Grande’s involvement in a Matrix the film would represent a huge change in her acting career. After his critically acclaimed performance in EvilGrande has expressed a growing interest in pursuing more roles in film and theater.
She said: “I think I love acting; I love musical theatre. Reconnecting with this part of me… finding roles to use these parts of me is something I want to explore more.”
Take a leading role in a Matrix the film would undoubtedly be a big step forward for Ariana, and she has spoken of her desire to balance music with other creative pursuits, adding:
“I will always make music, but I don’t think doing it at the rate I’ve been doing it for the last 10 years is what I see myself as for the next 10 years.”
It is not yet known whether the stars of the franchise will appreciate it Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne MossOR Laurence Fishburne will return, but if Grande actually ends up being cast, this will be a very different and unique direction for the franchise.
I honestly don’t see the franchise going in the direction of casting Grande, but Hollywood is a crazy place, so anything can happen!
