Active production Screams 7 it’s underway! Director Kevin Williamson took to Instagram to reveal that filming has begun and also shared a photo from the set revealing the film’s production logo, along with the following note:
“I shouldn’t be posting about Scream and I hope so [Spyglass] AND [Paramount] you’ll forgive me but when you have one of the best days of your life it’s really hard to keep it to yourself.
“What an amazing day I had working with an amazing and talented cast and crew. They brought their A game and supported me every step of the way.
“I’m very grateful for this opportunity and for Wes Craven who was on my mind through all of this. The profound impact he has had on my life and career is endless. What a day! I can’t wait for tomorrow!”
Neve Campbell will reprise her role as Sidney Prescott in the film and will be joined by her Courteney Coxwho has officially ended his deal to reprise his role as Gale Weathers.
The film’s new cast members include Isabel May, McKenna Grace, Celeste O’Connor AND Asa Germann. Patrick Dempsey he might even come back.
It is said that the next chapter of Cry will involve a “big time jump” after the events of the last film. This is how Sidney’s children grew up to the appropriate age for slasher films.
It had already been said previously Screams 7 “will have two main plots, one about Sid and his neighborhood friends, and the second about Taylor, Sid’s teenage daughter (could be a code name) and her friends. Each of them will have to deal with Ghostface.”
Sid and Gale will reportedly face some sort of Ghostface cult.
Screams 7 will be released in theaters worldwide on February 27, 2026.
