Following the conclusion of Arcane Second season and preparations for the new one League of Legends season, Epic Games released an epic movie titled Welcome to Noxus.
Although it mainly focuses on the upcoming MOBA season and, as you’ll notice, the animation company behind it ArcaneFortiche, brought the film to life.
This crossover has sparked new speculation about it Arcanethe future of Riot and Riot’s broader narrative ambitions.
The trailer’s focus is on Noxus, which is a significant region League of Legends tradition. Noxus has been a hot topic among fans, with rumors of potential spin-offs exploring this war-driven city.
Riot recently confirmed this Arcane‘s story concluded after two seasons, but hinted that future projects would focus on other locations such as Noxus, Demacia, and Ionia. So, this movie will definitely excite the fans.
Then there is the reappearance of Mel Medarda, the noblewoman and former member of the Piltover council Arcane. The footage suggests that Mel may be headed to Noxus, her mother’s homeland.
Ambessa Medarda, Mel’s imposing mother, was a Noxian warlord and stateswoman, and it seems that Mel’s story may continue in this power-hungry city.
I should note that Mel isn’t a playable character in League of Legends yet, but the footage teases what her abilities might look like in the game if she were added as a player.
The trailer also highlights other League of Legends champions. Darius, Trundle, Katarina, Elise, LeBlanc, and Vladimir all make appearances, engaging in battles straight from the Rift.
The move to Noxus feels like the natural next step for Riot’s storytelling. ArcaneThe second season of left fans satisfied while laying the foundation for new narratives in unexplored regions.
The footage suggests that the timeline picks up shortly after Arcanepromising the continuation of the rich worldbuilding fans have grown to love.
In League of LegendsSeason 2025 is shaping up to be an ambitious project, and exploring Noxus and its lore is sure to grab fans’ attention.
The season also introduces Atakhan, a new epic monster whose form changes based on game stats, and a reworked progression system called Feats of Strength.
This system replaces traditional gold rewards for early-game milestones like First Blood and First Tower with competitive best-of-three challenges that offer team-level boosts. Other gameplay changes include respawning Nexus turrets, rune balancing, and a teleport rework.
The trailer closes with a quote from LeBlanc saying, “Our next move must be bolder, not safer.” It feels like a statement of intent for Riot.
The studio continues to blur the lines between gaming and cinematic storytelling, and fans are eager to see how this bold approach pays off.
