Scott Eastwood expresses interest in playing Batman in James Gunn’s DCU

Scott Eastwoodknown for his roles in Suicide squad, Pacific RevoltAND Gran Torinohas expressed interest in playing Batman in James Gunn’s DC universe The brave and the bold.

At 38, Eastwood has yet to play a superhero, though he came close in 2016. Suicide squadwhere he played military agent GQ Edwards.

In a recent interview with Screen Rant, Eastwood shared, “I mean, I think outside of the DC universe, I’m definitely a Batman guy.”

“I think she’s the most interesting character because she lives a double life which to me is a little more intriguing than some of the others. Yes, I don’t know. There’s something interesting about that character.

Following the release of Suicide squadthere was a fan theory that his character might secretly be Dick Grayson/Nightwing. Eastwood acknowledged this during the interview, saying:

“I know there was talk about me turning into another character and coming back.” However, the plans fell through when James Gunn took over the franchise. He said:

“It just is. . . David Ayer didn’t direct the next film then. I thought, “Look, let’s see.” Let’s see what the next step holds. Is he an interesting character? Who is he?” And that never happened because he didn’t direct the movie, so it was a different movie.

When pressed about Warner Bros. and DC Studios’ intentions for his character, Eastwood admitted that details were vague, saying:

“They didn’t know. They were just talking about how he could come back, and we could make him somebody and this and that, and they hadn’t gotten to any of that.

Personally, I don’t see Eastwood playing Bruce Wayne/Batman, but it will be interesting to see who Gunn ends up playing the role in The Barve and the Bold.
