Andrew Garfield denies being cast in Marvel’s SPIDER-MAN 4

Fans are pretty sure that after the success of Spider-Man: No Way HomeMarvel wouldn’t leave a paycheck on the table by not inviting Tobey Maguire AND Andrea Garfield returns for another Spider-Man adventure.

The multiverse is still open, and we haven’t even begun to see the ramifications of the dangers that lie ahead. Although there may or may not be Spider-Man 4 that we see them return, fans are pretty sure that’s a strong possibility, as is the ensemble film, Avengers: Judgment Daywhich will be released in cinemas shortly before.

As the fourth Spider-Man prepares to begin production, we’ve begun speculating about who and what the film will be about. There are already rumors that Andrew Garfield’s Peter Parker has joined the cast and the actor is putting those rumors to rest.

The two-time Oscar nominee denied the recent reports, speaking out GQ UK: “I will disappoint you. Yes, no. But I know that from now on no one will trust what I say.

Garfield famously denied rumors that he would even be in No Way Home, but that’s just the name of the game when you’re in Marvel movies!

Of course they will deny it and we won’t know anyway until they want us to. There’s usually a leaked photo that lets us know sooner than we should know.

I, for one, would be excited to discover the film’s surprises for the first time when I go to the theater on opening night, but we’ll just have to wait and see if it works.

Garfield expressed his desire to return, telling it Squire in October, “For sure, I would 100% come back if it was the right thing, if it added value to the culture, if there was a great concept or something that’s never been done before that’s unique and weird and exciting and that you can sink into the teeth. I love that character and it brings joy. Part of what I bring is joy, then I’m happy in return.”

Sony added the Tom Holland-led the fourth without a title Spider-Man to the release calendar for July 24, 2026, with Destin Daniel Cretton direct.
