Bleecker Street has released the first trailer for the interesting and unique independent sci-fi romance film Love mewhat stars Steven Yeun AND Kristen Stewart.
In the film, “Long after the extinction of humanity, a buoy and a satellite meet online and fall in love. As directors Sam and Andy demonstrate in their wildly imaginative debut film, telling the love story of a intelligent buoy and a satellite in orbit that spans a billion years, and probing the mysteries of being and consciousness requires legitimate narrative dexterity.
“Love meThe whimsical and philosophical structure of shape-shifting ingeniously intertwines the real, the virtual and the surreal. Its star-crossed, web-coupled metallic protagonists — inhabited in different guises by Kristen Stewart and Steven Yeun — awkwardly navigate romance and companionship, equipped only with untold petabytes of archived web data, social media, and online video.
The director explained: “We wanted to make a film that makes you feel big and small at the same time… It’s the story of two completely new beings – artificial intelligence in two machines – who evolve into virtual avatars and then into flesh and bones. and human blood.”
I saw the film at Sundance last year and, as I said in my review of the film: ” Love me it is a celebration of life, love and the complexity of human emotions. Dig deep into the essence of being alive, exploring a range of feelings, from the joyful and exhilarating to the baffling and challenging.
“The characters, embodied by Stewart and Yeun, take us on a moving journey of personal exploration. They have awkward but charming interactions and this has allowed me to connect with their unique life experiences.
The film comes from Sam AND Andy Sugarand will be released in theaters on January 31, 2025.
