First teaser for Hulu’s football comedy series CHAD POWERS starring Glen Powell

The first lightning-fast teaser for Hulu’s football comedy series has been released Powers of Chadhero Glen Powell with an interesting addition.

Powell stars in the series he co-created, co-wrote and executive produced as Russ Holliday/Chad Powers, with Perry Mattfeld as Ricky, Quentin Plair as Coach Byrd, Wynn Everett in the role of Tricia, Frankie A. Rodriguez like Danny, and Steve Zahn as Jake Hudson.

Powell’s co-creator and co-writer of the series is Michele Waldron that he worked on previously Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, HeelsAND Loki). Powell and Waldron co-wrote the pilot; with further writing by Bogus Adam. The series features episodes directed by The Benz Payer AND Tony Yacenda (American vandal, Players).

The show’s synopsis reads: “When bad behavior jeopardizes quarterback Russ Holliday’s college career, he disguises himself and joins a struggling Southern football team as the talented and affable Chad Powers.

“Based on the NFL Films and Omaha Productions-produced sketch that aired on ESPN+ as part of the Eli’s Places series, 20th Television’s half-hour comedy will stream on Hulu.”

It seems a little silly, but we haven’t really gotten to see the story unfold yet. Powell is a good actor and maybe this show will end up being a lot of fun. I can’t wait to check it out.

Check out the little teaser below and keep an eye out for the full trailer, coming soon. Powers of Chad will go to Hulu in 2025. Stay tuned for updates.
