Adam Sandler has shared the first teaser trailer for Happy Day 2! It came with the caption: “Happy Chanukkah! Merry Christmas! Happy holidays! And Happy Gilmore to everyone!!!!!!”
The teaser is only 30 seconds long, but it offers our first look at Sandler’s Happy Gilmore back in action on the golf course. It also featured Julie Bowen reprising the role of Virgina Venit, Christopher McDonald like Shooter McGavin and an appearance of sorts from NFL superstar Travis Kelce.
Kyle Newacheck (Murder mystery) is directing the sequel from a screenplay by Sandler and Tim Herlihy. There are no details yet on the film’s plot.
Speaking previously about the film, Sandler said: “It’s good. We worked hard on the script. We didn’t want to disappoint anyone. People have been asking me this for a long time. We’re really excited about it. We wiped our asses off. A lot of golfers are doing well and will be part of it.”
This sequel comes nearly three decades after the release of the original, but it’ll be great to see what these characters do after all these years.
