Earlier this year, it was announced Paul Rudd AND Black Jack would be the protagonist of a comic reinterpretation of the creature, Anaconda.
They recently released a video hilariously announcing that the film will be released on December 25, 2025. Yes, Anaconda will be released in theaters on Christmas!
The new story involves “a group of friends facing a midlife crisis and remaking their favorite movie from their youth. They head into the rainforest only to find themselves fighting for their lives against natural disasters, giant snakes and violent criminals.
One of the actors would play a “former director, a man stuck in his job as a wedding videographer,” while the other would play an actor who worked on a crime show but sees his Hollywood dreams slipping further and further away.”
The film is produced by Columbia Pictures and directed by Tom Gormican from a screenplay written by him together with Kevin Etten. Brad Fuller and Andrew Form are producing the film.
