DC Studios has released a short 30-second teaser for James Gunn’S Superman ahead of the release of the full trailer tomorrow.
The teaser gives us our first look at the film’s footage along with the Superman theme. The footage shows people from all over Metropolis looking up to spot Superman as he flies through the skies.
It begins with a great look at Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen in the Daily Panet offices. There are also some quick shots of Superman in flight. The trailer is built around the slogan: “Look Up”.
Superman will tell the story of “Superman’s journey to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing as Clark Kent of Smallville, Kansas.
“He is the embodiment of truth, justice and the American way, guided by human kindness in a world that sees kindness as old-fashioned.”
“It’s set in a world very different from ours and very far from the DCEU. Heroes have been around for centuries and we’ll see how that has influenced the history of this world and shaped the DCU.”
Superman stars David Corenswet in the role of Superman, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane; Nicola Hoult as Lex Luthor; Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern; Isabela Mercede as Hawkgirl; Edi Gathegi as Michael Holt/Mr. Terrific; Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen; María Gabriela de Faría in the role of Angela Spica, aka The Engineer; Sara Sampaioas Eva Teschmacher; AND Terence Rosemore as Otis.
Superman will launch the cinematic portion of DC Studios’ Gods and Monsters: Part 1. The theatrical release is scheduled for July 11, 2025.
