Willem Dafoe teases a possible return as the Green Goblin in SPIDER-MAN 4

While there are many rumors going around Spider-Man 4all we know for sure right now is that he will “face the fact that he decided he was going to give up on being Peter Parker and focus on being Spider-Man because being Peter Parker was too hard.” .”

As for which character will be involved, we know Tom Holland will return as Peter Parker, Zendaya he’ll be back as MJ, and Jacob Batalon he will return as Ned. Other than that, we don’t know who else will appear or who the bad guys will be.

However, the Green Goblin actor Willem Dafoe teased a potential return during an interview with Entertainment Tonight. When asked about returning, the actor replied:

“We will see. We will see. I might return. Tom was great to work with, and the whole series of Spider-Man films I made were a lot of fun.”

While this is far from a confirmation that Dafoe’s Green Goblin will return, if he did, I doubt fans would have any problems! Dafoe’s Green Goblin is always welcome in Spider-Man movies!

Holland recently revealed that he and Zendaya he read a draft of the script and expressed his excitement about the direction the film will take with the story.

Holland said: “We have a creative, a presentation and a draft, which is excellent. It needs work but the writers are doing a great job. I read this 3 weeks ago and it really lit a fire in me.

“Zendaya and I sat and read it together and, at times, bounced around the living room, as if this was a real movie worthy of the fans’ respect.”

He also said, “The idea is crazy. It’s a little different to anything we’ve done before, but I think the fans will really respond to it.”

The film is set between Avengers: Judgment Day AND Avengers: Secret Wars. It will be released on July 26, 2026.
