Prime Video has released the trailer for its upcoming romantic comedy You are cordially invited which stars Will Ferrell AND Reese Witherspoon.
In the film, the June 1 wedding date becomes a major source of contention between Jim (Ferrell), father of one bride, and Margo Witherspoon, sister of another bride.
The synopsis reads: “When two weddings are accidentally booked on the same day and in the same location, each bride finds herself having to preserve their family’s special moment by making the most of the small and unexpected spaces.
“In a hilarious battle of determination and grit, the bride’s father and the other bride’s sister chaotically clash as they stop at nothing to support an unforgettable celebration for their loved ones.”
This is an R-rated comedy directed by Nick Stoller (Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Neighborhood) and is also the protagonist Geraldine Viswanathan, Meredith Hagner, Jimmy Tatro, Stony Blyden, Leanne Morgan, Rory Scovel, Keyla Monterroso Mejia, Ramona Young, Jack McBrayer, Luck Feimster with Celia Weston.
Tatro plays Margo’s sister’s boyfriend while Stony Blyden plays Jim’s daughter’s boyfriend. Peyton Manning he even makes a small cameo.
This looks like it could be a fun comedy and will be released on Prime Video on January 30, 2025.
