Prime Video has released a new trailer and poster for Invincible Season 3, featuring Mark and all the other super-powered characters in brutal, bloody action!
In the trailer we see Mark Grayson test the limits of his growing force under the supervision of Cecil Stedman of the Global Defense Agency, but as you’ll see, that alliance won’t last long.
There is growing tension between Mark and Cecil and there is a serious lack of trust. At the end of the trailer Cecil cheats on Mark.
The series’ story revolves around 18-year-old Mark Grayson, who is just like any other boy his age, except his father is (or was) the most powerful superhero on the planet.
“Still reeling from Nolan’s betrayal in season one, Mark struggles to rebuild his life while facing a series of new threats, all while battling his greatest fear – that he might become his father without even knowing it.
“Everything changes when Mark is forced to face his past and his future, as he discovers how far he will go to protect the people he loves.”
According to the creator Robert Kirkmannthe stakes in the next season are “really high” and every episode will feel like an ending.
Kirkman joked, “The stakes of the season are really high and the content of the season is really dense. So we created a lot of stories in the first and second seasons that will come to a head in the third season. And so, in many ways, every episode almost feels like an ending.”
The comic creator went on to talk about the episodes, saying, “There’s something big in every episode, there’s a huge conclusion in every episode, there’s some sort of huge evolution of a character or a twist in the story which happens in every episode. I’m really excited to finally see season three because it’s going to be crazy.”
Kirkman spoke about the new look, saying, “It’s definitely an evolution of the series. I think it gets darker and darker with each season, if you can believe that, and yeah, it’s more than that.
“Mark was in a really strange place at the end of every season, but certainly in the case of season two, after killing Angstrom Levy and having to deal with that.
“This is really going to weigh on him and it’s going to moderate every decision he makes, every action he takes over the course of Season 3. It’s going to change the way the show works.”
As for what’s coming Invincible Season 3, Kirkman teased, “I think you can see that Season 2 is an advancement over a lot of things that were introduced in Season 1.
“The stakes were higher, things got a little crazier, and there were a lot of moving pieces that hinted at bigger stories. Those bigger stories really start to fall apart in season three.”
The series is the protagonist Steven Yeunwith Sandra Oh, Zazie Beetz, Gray DeLisle, Chris Diamantopoulos, Walton Goggins, Gillian Jacobs, Jason Mantzoukas, Ross Marquand, Khary Payton, Zechariah Quintus, Andrew Rannells, Kevin Michael Richardson, Seth RogenAND JK Simmons.
and it was announced that the animated series will premiere on February 6, 2025.
