Director Luca Bessonis a classic 1994 action film Leon: The professional will receive a 4K re-release to celebrate the film’s 30th anniversary.
Madman is releasing a new special edition 4K Blu-ray for fans and collectors, created from newly restored masters.
Leon: The professional is a gritty and thrilling action thriller that follows Léon (Jean Reno), a stoic, highly skilled hitman living a reclusive life in New York City.
His routine existence is turned upside down when he reluctantly takes in Mathilda (Natalie Portman), a 12-year-old girl whose family is killed by a corrupt DEA agent, Norman Stansfield (Gary Oldmann). Seeking revenge, Mathilda convinces Léon to teach her the art of assassination as the two form an unconventional bond that transforms them both.
As Léon helps Mathilda cope with her tragic loss, he discovers a newfound sense of humanity, leading to an intense confrontation with Stansfield that tests their courage and loyalty.
This 4K version of Leon: The professional will be released on December 4th.
