If you watched Arcane Season 2 then you know included a hot sex scene between Cait and Vi. It was later revealed that a longer, more graphic version of that scene exists, but it must have been too hot for Netflix.
Showrunner and co-creator Cristiano Linke recently addressed the scene and why it was cut. He also talked about the possibility of it being released in some form.
The scene showed Vi, fresh from a possible final goodbye with her sister Jinx, finding herself locked in a cell at Piltover Prison. After being freed by Caitlyn, the two kiss, and then one thing leads to another.
While the intense moment doesn’t leave much to the imagination, it skirts it enough to have won over TV-14 by not showing nudity or explicit acts.
During an interview with Inverse Linke he said: “The main challenge was that it pushed our valuations to a point where it really threatened our valuation.”
On the possibility of it being made available for fans to watch, he said: “I don’t know if we’ll actually be able to release it, because if it’s still released by us… It exists! I guess it just depends on whether they do it or not.” it would destroy our ratings, so yeah, I don’t know, I actually have to ask.”
Linke previously revealed that the scene was a “shortened version”. He added: “We got a pat on the hand like, ‘Now are you literally going to be considered mature?'”
