Here is a trailer for an upcoming drama titled Oh, Canadawith Richard Gere, Uma Thurman and Giacobbe Elordi.
The film centers on a Canadian documentary filmmaker who, in his final days, gives a final interview to one of his former students to tell the whole truth about his life.
The synopsis reads: “Aging director Leonard Fife (Gere), still fiery despite his battle with illness, wants to tell the story of his life, without filters, before it’s too late.
“As a director of acclaimed documentaries, he has much to be proud of, but his draft evasion during the Vietnam War and his past relationships hide thorny truths.
“Leonard sits down for a long interview with his former student Malcolm (Michael Imperioli), telling candid stories about himself as a young man (Elordi) in the tumultuous 1960s and beyond.
“At Leonard’s insistence, his wife and indispensable artistic partner, Emma (Thurman), witnesses it all. His successes are met with his failures, and as the man is cleansed of myth, Leonard must confront what remains of it.”
The film comes from the director Paolo Schrader (American gigolo, Cat people, Dominion: Prequel to The Exorcist) and is also the protagonist Vittoria hill, Michele Imperioli, Penelope MitchellAND Kristine Froseth.
Kino Lorber will release the film in select theaters on December 5, 2024.
