He is the terror that haunts the night! Dynamite Entertainment has announced something new Darkwing Duck comic book series and its original creator Tad Stones is involved.
Stone shared in a statement: “I was happy that Dynamite brought Darkwing Duck and his family back to the comics with three, count ’em three, titles featuring his super friends and his ultimate nemesis.
“And then they dragged me into the madness of a lot of variant covers for this new series. The stories and illustrations I saw captured the comedy and adventure of the original series and put a new spin on it.”
The creative team for the new Darkwing Duck series include the writer Daniel Kibblesmithbest known for his work on various marvel titles such as Loki, and interior art will be provided by artists Ted Brandt AND Ro Stein.
The series will explore Darkwing’s daring past as the Fowl heroes answer key questions about his legendary exploits. Dynamite Entertainment promises new stories full of humor and adventure, faithful to the original series.
Kibblesmith said in a statement: “I’m the writer who writes screenplays at night. I’m (writing) Darkwing Duck. And I couldn’t feel luckier. Let’s get dangerous – and pre-order!”
Darkwing Duck n. 1 arrives in comic shops around the world in February 2025.
