VENOM: THE LAST DANCE Concept Art Reveals a Terrifying Version of Villain Knull

Venom: The Last Dance featured the live-action debut of the King in Black and the god of the symbiotes, Knull. The character was played by Andy Serkis and there are future plans for the character after the events of the film.

Concept artist Karl Lindberg recently shared some alternate designs for Knull, explaining, “I worked directly with writer/director Kelly Marcel to design this creepy villain. I love how it came out in the film.”

I have to say that the version of the character in this concept art is much more terrifying than the one in the film.

When previously talking about bringing Knull to life in the film, writer-director Kelly Marcel said, “So Knull was actually the first character we designed for this film.

“Before Venom-Horse… Xenophage and Knull were the first two [characters] that went into the works in terms of design. We knew we had to prove Knull right.

“He’s a huge fan favorite. We wanted to stay as close to the comics as possible in terms of look.”

Regarding casting Serkis in the role, he said, “We knew Andy Serkis was going to be Knull in Venom 2. He was our director on Venom 2; Tom and I were always talking about Venom 2 about what Venom 3 was going to be and we we knew we wanted to present Knull the way we did, watching Andy Serkis direct every day. [we’re saying] ‘Well, he’s the greatest.'”
