Disney has released a new poster for the live-action/CG animated film Lilo and Stitch and puts the spotlight on Experiment 626. I imagine a trailer for this movie will be released very soon, perhaps with the release of Vaiana 2?
In the film, “Lilo is a lonely Hawaiian girl who adopts an ugly little ‘dog,’ whom she names Stitch. Stitch would be the perfect pet if he wasn’t actually a genetic experiment who escaped from an alien planet and crash-landed on Earth.
“Through her love, her faith, and her unwavering belief in ohana, the Hawaiian concept of family, Lilo helps unlock Stitch’s heart and gives him the ability to care for someone else.”
The cast includes a newcomer Maia Kealohawho plays Lilo; Billy Magnussen as the one-eyed alien Pleakley, Sydney Elizabeth Agudong (NCIS) as Nani, Lilo’s older sister and legal guardian, the original voice of Nani, Tia Carrerewill play a new character called Mrs. Kekoa, while she is an actress Amy Hillwho played Mrs. Hasagawa in the animated film and series, will play a new character called Tūtū.
Zach Galifianakis he is also the protagonist and it is confirmed that he will play the scientist creator of Stitch, Jumba.
Camp Dean Fleischer (Marcel the shell with shoes) will direct the remake which will be a major release on Disney+. Chris Kekaniokalani Bright wrote the screenplay for the adaptation.
