Disney removes another STAR WARS film from release schedule

Disney pulled another one Star Wars film out of its release schedule. A Star Wars the film was supposed to be released on December 18, 2026, but no longer. Instead, Disney will release Ice Age 6 on that day.

There’s no information on what that movie would have been like, but I’m pretty sure that’s what it would have been like Daisey Ridleyof the Rey Skywalker project, which has been in development for some time and is working towards production. It is logical that the project is delayed after the screenwriter Steven Knight he came out of it.

Next Star Wars film project arriving in 2026 is Jon Favreau’s The Mandalorian and Groguwhich will be released on May 22nd. That film is currently in development and will actually get its release date on track.

Lucasfilm also recently announced that it is developing a new trilogy Simone Kinberg (X-Men) write and produce the projects. There are no concrete details on what these films will entail, but there’s a good chance they will be separate from the Skywalker saga.

It was explained: “Kinberg’s efforts are intended to create a new saga, but, as is the case with virtually all screenplay development, specific plot details and characters are light years away from taking their final form, for don’t talk about it coming to theaters.”

As for the film Rey, it is directed by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoyand is said to be set 15 years after the events of The Rise of Skywalker.

The story will chronicle Rey’s efforts to start a new Jedi Academy and will focus on Rey as she builds the New Jedi Order.
