Maria Bakalova (Bodies Bodies Bodies, The Apprentice) is set to the opposite star Peter Mullan (Session 9, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power) in the upcoming suspense thriller No way out.
The film is said to be inspired by single location thrillers like The shallow waters, BuriedAND Crawlingand is set on Christmas Eve.
The story revolves around Laura, “a young mother waiting at the bus stop with her newborn son. When the bus stops, the driver is wearing a latex Santa mask. Laura climbs aboard, collapsing into her seat. Exhausted and stressed, she falls asleep early.
“When Laura wakes up, night has fallen. The bus is now speeding along a highway, miles from its usual route. Aside from the sleeping child, she is the only passenger left on board. He cannot outrun the driver – he will have to outwit him.
The film will be directed by Brian Kelly (Downton Abbey, Dracula), who said: “My dreams have come true. No Way Off has a brilliant cast and a fantastic script, I can’t wait to enjoy the ride.”
The film’s screenplay comes from Gaby Hull AND Matthew James Wilkinson (Yesterday) is producing. It looks like it will be an intense film that will test you.
