Disney has released the first photo of the upcoming live-action Lilo and Stitchwhich features everyone’s favorite blue alien, who is standing on Lilo’s bed and wearing a yellow lei. It looks really cute in the photo and I think it will be a fun movie!
The film is directed by Camp Dean Fleischer from a screenplay adapted by Chris Kekaniokalani Bright. Lilo and Stitch is a live-action retelling of the animated classic and will star Maia Kealoha like Lilo; Sydney Elizebeth Agudong like Nani; Billy Magnussen as Pleakley; Tia Carrere (who voiced Nani in the original) will play Mrs. Kekoa in this film; Chris Sanderswho originally voiced Stitch, as well as having written the first film, will return to voice Stitch; with Courtney B. Vance like Cobra Bubbles; And Zach Galifianakis like Jumba.
Lilo and Stitch will be released in theaters on May 23, 2025.
Disney also revealed this weekend that they are working on a Ice Age 6 film, which has already entered production. This is another franchise inherited by the studio after acquiring 20th Century Fox, and was previously relaunched on Disney+ with the Simon Pegg-led series. Buck Wild’s Ice Age Adventures.
This film will be a true sequel with the return of the stars Ray Romano, Giovanni Leguizamo, Queen Latifah, Denis LearyAND Simone Pegg.
