Armie Hammer has booked his first film project in more than three years. He is ready to join Thomas Jane in the next western Frontier crucible.
The film is described as The hyenas meet Bone Tomahawkand “set in the Arizona Territory in 1870.”
Hammer will play a key role in the film. The protagonist will also be Myles Clohessy (The Pendragon Cycle), Eli Marrone (Perform Hide Battle), Eddie Spears (Yellowstone) AND Zane Holtz (Killer hunter), singer-songwriter Jonah Kagen AND Mary Stickley.
The film will follow “a former soldier (Clohessy) with a tragic past who finds himself forced into an uneasy alliance with three outlaws (Jane, Hammer and Kagen), a beautiful woman (Stickley) and her wounded husband (Brown), in a attempt to survive the hostile elements and forces of the western frontier.”
As you know, Hammer was hit with sexual assault allegations in 2021. Since then he says he has been working on himself. After an investigation into Hammer by the Los Angeles County District Attorney and the LAPD, they declined to pursue criminal charges against him, citing insufficient evidence.
The actor also recently launched a podcast, The Armie HammerTime Podcast, the first episode of which includes an interview with the actor Tom Arnold.
Frontier crucible is produced by Bone Tomahawk AND Dragged across the concrete producer Dallas Sonnier. The independently financed film will begin shooting next month in Monument Valley and Prescott, Arizona.
The film will be directed by Travis Mills (The Pendragon Cycle) and adapted from the 1961 western novel Staking out in the desert by Harry Whittington.
Hammer recently posted an image of himself on Instagram with the film’s script.
