Another fun and adventurous trailer for PADDINGTON IN PERU

We have another delightful trailer to share with you for Sony Pictures’ Paddington in Peruwhich follows Paddington on an adventure to Peru, his home country.

There he is on a journey to find his aunt Lucy, along with the legendary lost city of El Dorado.

In the film, “as he returns to visit his beloved Aunt Lucy, who now resides at the Home for Retired Bears. With the Brown family in tow, a thrilling adventure begins when a mystery catapults them on an unexpected journey through the Amazon rainforest and up to the mountain peaks of Peru.

The story of the next film was created by Paddington 1 and 2 collaborators Paolo Re, Simone FarnabyAND Marco Burton with a screenplay by Burton, Jon FosterAND James Lamont.

Ben Whishaw returns to provide the voice of Paddington. The film will also feature a combination of returning and new cast. Some of the key talents from the first two films include Hugh Bonneville, Sally Hawkins, Giulia Walters, Imelda Staunton AND Michele Gambon. There are also newcomers in the cast Antonio Banderas AND Olivia Colman.

The film was directed by the director of music videos and commercials Dougal Wilsonwho will make his directorial debut.

David Heymann AND Rosie Alison will produce alongside Rob Silva as co-producer. Executive producers include Paul King, Tim Wellspring, Jeffrey Clifford, Anna Marsh and Ron Halpern.

CEO of StudioCanal Anna Marsh and global manufacturing EVP Ron Halpern previously said: “We have long been great admirers of Dougal’s work, his extraordinary visual creativity, his storytelling, his heart, his emotion and his humor. We are so excited that Dougal will be directing the third Paddington film. We can’t wait to bring Paddington back to Peru for his next big screen adventure.”

The director of the first two Paddington movies, Paolo Recommented: “After ten years of working on the Paddington films, I feel absurdly protective of the little bear and I’m happy that Dougal will be there to hold his paw as he embarks on his third big screen adventure.

“Dougal’s work is never less than astonishing: funny, beautiful, heartfelt, imaginative and totally original. Aunt Lucy once asked us to “take care of this bear, please.” I know Dougal will do this admirably.

The film’s director said: “Being a huge fan of the first two films, I’m very excited (if not a little intimidated) to continue the story of Paddington. It’s a huge responsibility, but all my efforts will be focused on making a third film that honors the love so many people have for this very special bear.”

The film will be released in theaters on January 17, 2025.
