Thomas Jane (The Punisher, The Mist, The Predator) will be the protagonist of the next western film Frontier cruciblewhich comes from the manufacturer of Bone tomahawkDallas Sonnier.
The film is described as The hyenas meet Bone Tomahawkand the story is set in the Arizona Territory in the 1870s.
The film is also the protagonist Myles Clohessy (The Pendragon Cycle), Eli Marrone (Perform Hide Battle), Eddie Spears (Yellowstone) AND Zane Holtz (Killer hunter), singer-songwriter Jonah Kagen AND Mary Stickley.
The film will follow “a former soldier (Clohessy) with a tragic past who finds himself forced into an uneasy alliance with three outlaws (led by Jane), a beautiful woman (Stickley) and her wounded husband (Brown), in an attempt to survive to the hostile elements and forces of the western frontier.”
The film is directed by Travis Mills (The Pendragon Cycle) and the story is adapted from the 1961 western novel Staking out in the desert by Harry Whittington.
It looks like it could be a really interesting western project and will begin filming next month in Monument Valley and Prescott, Arizona.
