Venom: The Last Dance was released last weekend to lots of reviews, as usual. The franchise is pretty silly, but fun enough for the fans who stuck around.
This was hailed as the swansong of the trilogy, despite the possibility of seeing Tom HardyEddie Brock’s return in other projects has been widely speculated and anticipated.
Hardy isn’t exactly ready to leave the character behind, and if he and the writer/director do Kelly Marcel if it were up to them, they would have gotten an R rating LoganVenom-style movies in the near future.
During a recent interview with The Wrap, the pair were asked about the possibility, and Hardy enthusiastically responded, “Oh yeah!”, with Marcel chiming in, adding, “We can’t wait to do it! Desperate!”
Hardy went on to add, “We already have it. We predicted it Poison 2. We are already there. We are fast too. It’s as if we already had four or five films alongside us, in different tones, with more characters.
“If you ask us to do something. We are not shy, but we need to change the mission statement. We’re both busy heads. If we say we’re going to do something, we mean it.”
I don’t know if anyone is clamoring for this to happen, but an R-rated Venom would probably be better than the movies we got. What do you think? Would you like to see a new interpretation of the character?
