Director Yorgos Lanthimos (Poor things) launched Alicia Silverstone (Clueless) in his upcoming sci-fi alien conspiracy film Bugoniaand she joins Emma Stone AND Jesse Plemon.
The film centers on “two conspiracy-obsessed young men who kidnap the powerful CEO of a large corporation, convinced he is an alien intent on destroying planet Earth.”
As you know, Lanthimos makes some truly strange and unique films and there’s no doubt that this will end up delivering another wild cinematic experience.
The screenplay was written by the Emmy winner Will Tracy (Succession, The Menu), and is based on the 2003 South Korean comedy Save the green planet. It is unknown who Silverstone will play in the film.
Bugonia is produced by Ari Aster AND Lars Knudsen and will be distributed by Focus Features and Universal Pictures.
The film will be released in theaters on November 7, 2025.
