Christopher Nolan is in full development with his next big film project Matt Damon AND Tom Holland set to star.
There are no details on the story, but io9 now reports that the film will be a vampire horror film set in the 1920s.
This is just a rumor for now, but io9 wouldn’t publish this information unless it came from a rock-solid, reliable source. So, there must be teeth.
Until now, all we knew about the film is that “the setting is not the present (although it’s unclear whether it’s set in the past or the future).”
I always thought it would be interesting to see what Nolan would do in the horror genre, and if that’s true then it looks like we’ll see it.
Nolan previously said he wanted to make a horror film: “I would love to make a horror film. But I think a really good horror movie requires a really great idea. And those are few and far between. So I haven’t found a story that lends itself to that.”
Nolan went on to talk about what he finds interesting about the horror genre, saying, “But I think it’s a very interesting genre from a cinematic point of view.
“It’s also one of the few genres where studios make a lot of these films, and they’re films that have a lot of bleakness and a lot of abstraction.
“They have a lot of the qualities that Hollywood is generally very reluctant to put into movies, but this is a genre where it’s allowed.”
Well, it will be interesting to see what Nolan’s new film project will be. We’ll find out soon enough.
