James Gunn Calls Latest Batman Movie Rumors on THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD “Bullsh*t”

The director of Flash Andy Muschietti he is currently busy directing DC Studios’ Batman film The brave and the boldand it’s a project he’ll dive into fully after finishing with HBO’s IT prequel series Welcome To Derry.

But a new rumor has started circulating about the project from Hollywood scooper @MyTimeToShineH. He said: “[DC Studios] I want to cast a middle-aged man to play Batman in the DCU.”

Well, Gunn has come out to harshly debunk this rumor. When asked about it on Threads, Gunn responded with one word… “Bullshit.”

When someone asked how these rumors started, Gunn shared an image of two cartoon butts with eyes and mouths, which suggests the speakers are “talking out of turn.”

Pistol previously addressed Batman’s age in the DCU says: “Superman was younger than in his forties and Batman COULD have been a couple of years older than Superman.” Since Superman actor David Corenswet was 30 when he made the film, that would put Batman at around 30 years old.

Gunn went on to admit that sometimes when it comes to reporting rumors, journalists are misinformed or simply misinterpret what they hear. But, he also said that in his opinion some rumors are completely invented.

Regardless, James Gunn doesn’t appear to be in a rush to fill that role as he’s focused on Superman, Supergirl, and Green Lantern projects.

When previously talking about DC Studios’ plans for The brave and the boldGunn said: “This is the introduction of Batman to the DCU. This is the story of Damian Wayne, who is the real son of Batman who we didn’t know existed for the first 8-10 years of his life. He grew up as a little murderer and murderer. He’s a little son of a bitch. He’s my favorite Robin.”

“It’s based on the Grant Morrison comic, which is one of my favorite Batman comics, and we’re putting it together right now.”

Co-CEO of DC Studios, Pietro Safranhe added, “And this is obviously a feature film, and will feature other members of the extended ‘Bat family,’ only because we feel they’ve been left out of Batman stories in theaters for too long.” .”

THE Brave and bold The story will revolve around Bruce Wayne training his son, Damian, into the role of Robin, adapting elements of Morrison and Frank Quitely’s critically acclaimed Batman & Robin.

Three times Oscar nominee John Logan (Gladiator, The Aviator, Hugo, Skyfall) is said to be writing The brave and the bold for DC studies.
