Disneyland has increased the price of tickets again: the most expensive ticket has exceeded the threshold of 200 dollars

It’s that time of year again. No, not the holidays or the changing fall colors, but the time when Disneyland aims to undercut its guests just a little more.

The California-based park’s entry-level ticket will remain at $104, the same price as six years ago, but other ticket levels, based on demand, will jump between $7 and $12, an increase from 5.9% to $6. ,5%. the company said Wednesday.

Likewise, the cost of the park’s annual Magic Key pass will increase between 6% and 20%, or $100 to $125 depending on the type of pass. These price changes will take effect starting Wednesday.

While the company has been under scrutiny for years due to the price it takes to enter the park, it has done some promotions to try to give attendees a break.

Disney announced that its $50 children’s ticket offer will be made available on October 22nd and can be used starting January 7th. Additionally, the company has a hotel offer that can save guests up to 20% starting in January.

“We always provide a wide variety of tickets, dining options, hotel and promotional offers throughout the year to accommodate as many families as possible,” Jessica Good, spokeswoman for the Disneyland Resort, said Wednesday.

Disney theme parks operate on a demand-based pricing model. This means that at certain times of the year it is more expensive to visit the parks because more people try to visit them at that time. Major holidays such as Christmas and Halloween, as well as summer and school holidays are peak periods.

Disney said there is a period between January and February when a family of four – two adults and two children – can visit the park for $308. That’s two $104 adult tickets and two $50 child tickets.

But to manage demand, Disney has a tiered ticket system. Level 0 is the lowest demand, base ticket price of $104, while Level 6 is the highest demand and will see an increase from $12 to $206 per ticket.

The Magic Key program will also experience a price increase due to demand. The lowest tier, called Imagine, will cost $599 per year, a $100 increase, Enchant will be $974, a $125 increase, Believe will be $1,374, a $125 increase, and Inspire will be $1,749 , a $100 increase.

Each tier has different access to theme park dates and perks. Disney noted that Magic Key pass holders will have early access to the next opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and discounts on Lightning Lane passes, as well as discounts on existing merchandise, food and parking.

It’s pretty crazy to think that you could pay more than $200 each to visit the park for a day! I remember when it crossed the $100 mark and I thought it was expensive!
