Jason Biggs of American cake the franchise will make its directorial debut with the upcoming action comedy titled Run away.
Biggs will also star in the film and will be joined by him Meaghan Rath (Hawaii Five-0), Arturo Castro (Large city), Justin H. Min (The Umbrella Academy) AND Anna Konkle (PEN15).
Run away centers on Kevin Stanwell (Biggs), “an actor famous for being the mascot of erectile dysfunction commercials. With his marriage on the rocks, he tries to save his relationship with his wife Suzie (Rath) by planning a trip to the Adirondacks for them.
“Kevin recruits an actor friend, Ernie Guerra (Castro), to stage a home invasion to make Kevin look like a hero, but when the plan goes awry, the pair find themselves embroiled in a murder investigation.”
Biggs said in a statement: “I am absolutely thrilled to be making my directorial debut with this groundbreaking genre Run awayin collaboration with Brad Krevoy and MPCA, Charles Cohen and an incredible cast led by Meaghan Rath, Anna Konkle, Justin Min and Arturo Castro.
“When I first read Jamie and Joshua’s script, I knew it would be an exciting challenge to bring this unique story to life, and I’m grateful to be involved.”
The film’s screenplay was written by Jamie Napoli AND Joshua Paul Johnsonand it looks like this will be a fun project for Biggs to tackle.
