Ben Hardy AND My Tomlinson they joined together Patrick Wilson AND True Farmiga in New Line’s next film in the Conjuring saga, The Conjuring: The Last Rite.
This next chapter of the series will once again be written by by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrickwho previously wrote the scripts for the final two installments. It is not yet known who will direct, but the creator of the franchise, James Wan will produce together with Peter Safran.
There are no plot details to share yet for the film, but Wan said in an interview that the film could end with the Warrens’ story.
He said, “With the Conjuring films, we are very precious [them]. And so we want to take our time to make sure that we’re doing it right and making sure that the emotion of the Warren stories that we want to tell, and that they’re moving forward, and potentially coming to a close, we just want to make sure that it’s the right thing, the right story that we’re telling.”
It was also announced that a Conjuring series is in development for HBO’s MAX streaming series. The show is said to “continue the story established in the feature films,” but no other details were shared.
The Evocation The films are based on the Warrens’ real case files and I can’t wait to see what the next terrifying tale will be.
