Ben Affleck’s Scrapped THE BATMAN Movie Storyboard Shows The Dark Knight Fighting Deathstroke

Once upon a time, Actor was the Batman of the world, and had plans to star in at least one Caped Crusader movie. But after appearing as the character in Justice Leaguethings fell apart and we never got to see Affleck’s Bruce Wayne story come to life. But today we have a little surprise in the form of a piece of artwork shared by the film’s storyboard artist, Jay Olive.

To celebrate Batman Day on Saturday, Oliva shared the photo below, featuring Batman taking on DC supervillain Deathstroke.

Little has been revealed about Affleck The Batman. But it was believed that Slade Wilson/Deathstroke (Joe Manganiello) would come to Gotham City seeking revenge, with Zack Snyder’s Justice League confirming that the plan was for Lex Luthor to tell the assassin who is under the cloak and cowl as a reward for being locked up in Arkham Asylum at the end of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Oliva worked on Affleck and by Geoff Johns The Batmanand had previously said about the film:

“I can’t say much other than it was fucking awesome. It was the best. It was incredible. From what I understand, there were a couple of drafts. When I got hired, I don’t know if it was the second draft or something, but it was what Geoff Johns and Ben [Affleck] he had shown me.”

He continued:

“Ben’s story was supposed to cover something that had never been covered in comics, but it was based on the Batman mythos of the last 80 years and approached it from a new kind of perspective. It was very clever and there were a lot of things that I really loved and wished had happened. It was a really great project to begin with. Ben had to step aside for personal reasons and I totally understood, but the time I spent with Ben working on it was amazing.”

Too bad we never got to see Ben Affleck in the Batman movie he had in mind. It looks like it would have been a great time. Check out the artwork below and let us know what you think:
