Angelica Houston is set to star in the upcoming live-action/animated hybrid film The Trial of the Christmas Witch of the Befana.
The film is based on a popular Italian folk tale and tells the story of “a group of children who kidnap the legendary Christmas Witch (Huston) and put her on trial to banish her annual judgments.”
David James Brock (Mother of all shows) and Highball TV Melissa D’Agostino co-wrote and co-designed the project together Matt Campagnawho will direct.
The production is said to feature several animation techniques, including extensive use of rotoscope. The film will also feature an original soundtrack composed by Brock, D’Angostino AND Rebecca Everett.
Huston is joined by Jesse Gervasi, Maya Misaljević, Luke Doulgeris, Paul Mancini, Tarah Consoli, Juan Chioran, Phil Luzi and the writer and director D’Agostino.
This is the first animated film produced by Canadian company HighballTV.
