Stride Management Signs ‘Doula’ Director Cheryl Nichols

Nichols recently made a comedy movie dowleya, Chris Payne’s production of Barry Linen Motion Pictures, released on digital platforms by Universal Pictures and on VOD on June 28. The third lead stars Trojan Belisario, Arron Shiver and Will Greenberg, Deb (Bellisario) and Silvio (Arron Shiver), who are expecting their first child after months of dating. When his elderly grandmother Penka suddenly dies, Silvio hastily decides to hire his son Sasha (Greenberg) as the living Dula. The sisters are surprised because Silvio did not consult her before hiring her. However, after a while they become close and as the pregnancy is about to end, Silvio feels like a strange man. Her attempt to control her pregnancy caused an outburst, forcing her sisters to choose between herself and Sasha.

Nichols also recently launched Dear Pony, keep this between us.A four-part documentary series exploring the babysitting epidemic in US high schools. Produced by Vox and The Front, the show will premiere on Freeform this summer.
