Zack Snyder confirmed that he is developing a 300 spin-off series and that work on that project has begun.
During an interview, Comicbook asked the director to talk about the project and he replied: “We’re getting ready to dive in and get to work.
“It’s super fun, I love the world. And even just in the preliminary meetings that we’ve had talking about, like, ‘What if this or that happens,’ it’s really fun to be like, wow, that’s a rich standard.
“It’s similar to this [Twilight of the Gods] in a strange way. Although there are many foundations.”
Snyder did not reveal any details, but it was previously reported that Snyder had regained the rights to 300: Blood and Asheswhich follows the events of 300: Rise of an Empire.
It has been described as an ancient Greek war epic that tells of the relationship between Alexander the Great and his second-in-command, Aphaestion.
Snyder has previously said of the project: “We got the rights back, so we can make it if we want to. I don’t know what the market is for a film that’s incredibly homoerotic, super violent, super sexual. But maybe it’s perfect.”
We don’t know for sure if this is the 300 series project he’s working on, but it could very well be.
