Deadpool and Wolverine It was full of funny and engaging dialogue, some of which poked fun at Disney, and made the audience burst into laughter.
But there was one line of dialogue that the Disney CEO Bob Iger asked My name is Ryan Reynolds. to be removed. While Reynolds wouldn’t reveal what the joke was, he did talk about the experience of being asked to take it out.
During an appearance at the Fast Company Innovation Festival, Reynolds said, “There was only one line in the whole movie that they asked me to take out. No. No. No! And they were right!”
He continued: “As soon as someone says something, like, ‘Ryan, Bob Iger here. I would love it if you took that line out. It’s really going to make our lives difficult here.’ As soon as they say that, there’s something in my brain that says, ‘I have to hold the line! Precious!’
“And then, as soon as the fog of war lifts and you think twice, it’s like, ‘Sure, I can take that out. Can I say something about Pinocchio instead?’ And the answer is yes!”
Reynolds has previously promised to take that line “to the grave,” but it’s gotta come out someday! It’s just human nature to be curious about what line in Deadpool and Wolverine it was just too much for Disney.
What could Deadpool say that would make Disney’s life so hard? Make up your own jokes below!
